Library Cards
Anyone can obtain a Library Card at Phillips Free Library. Proof of current address is needed to obtain a  card. A photo ID, such as a license with a correct address is preferred. If your license does not have your correct address, your license and a bill, lease, or other item with your current address will be accepted.

Children under the age of 18 need a parents signature to obtain a library card. The parent will need proof of address. Children also need to have a signed permission slip on file with the library to use computers. Parents must come into the library to sign the permission slip.

Public Access Computers
The library has seven public access computers. Sign up for computer use is through our reservation system. A valid library card is needed. Visitors may request a temporary pass for computer usage from the library staff. Patrons may use the computers for two 30 minute sessions a day.
 
Children under the age of 18 must have a permission slip signed by a parent onfile in order to use the computers.

Borrowing limits and Loan Periods
Established patrons who do not have any fines may take out up to thirty items at a time.
There is a limit of four items on DVDs, VHS, and audiobooks.
Patrons must be over 18 years of age to take out DVDs.
 
Loan Periods:
Videos and DVDs circulate for 1 week.
Books, Audiobooks and Nook Colors circulate for three weeks.
 

E-readers
The library has four Nook Colors available for check out.
Interlibrary loan
Items not owned by Phillips Free Library are available from other FingerLakes Library System libraries through interlibrary loan.
 
Items unavailable through any Finger Lakes Library System library, may be available from libraries outside of the system. New books, paperbacks, audiobooks and DVDs may not be requested from outside the system. Different loan periods apply.
